OLD VIOLIN

This is a violin that belonged to my Grandfather and my uncle Raymond. It now has no strings, bridge, peg, or bow. I hope that it can be made whole.

The music is a violin piece that I played to teach my daughter something about musical expression. She was a child violin student and not able to understand the concepts of tempo, loudness, staccato and pizzicato unless she heard them. Halfway through she begins to impress the ideas on her memory by humming along with the music. The pizzicato takes her by surprise, but the second time around she is ready. At the end she loudly pretends to be the announcer, then corrects herself loudly.
